Copyright

I choose religion, seasons and parks and leisure as my themes because I am interested in these areas. There was also a lot of pictures I could take since there are lots of chapels in my area, and there is lots of wildlife.

Techniques

I used a a range of techniques when taking and editing the photos. For example, I took a lot of pictures for each theme so I could choose the best one when I loaded them onto the computer later. When editing the photos, I used a lot of tools including the pen tool, lasso tool, brush tool, gradient tool, filters, hue/saturation, brightness/contrast and levels.

Colour and Mood

In two of my photos, I used a bright, happy theme. This was for religion and parks and leisure. In my third theme about seasons, I used a Autumn theme and colours.

Graphics and Subject Matter

I am happy with the subject matter that I chose because I am interested in these themes. I am happy with the outcome of these pictures.

Legal Implications

Copyright is a right that protects the author of any work from their work being copied by anyone else without their permission. The author can remove the copyright himself but this has to be stated. For anything to be considered to be copyrighted work, it must be original and not copying other work. Copyright can apply to any type of work including graphics, literary work etc.

I can protect my own work by contacting the Copyright Licensing Agency and applying for a copyright. This can be a very lengthy process.
