3D Printing
3D Printing is the process of printing a digital 3D model as a solid three dimensional object. The process is usually done using powder and liquid. This technology is not very new but is always developing. There are currently many applications of this technology, the main one being rapid prototypes of phones, cars, games consoles, statues etc. As well as prototypes, rapid manufacturing is another use of 3D printing. This is unproven but technological advancements in the field have enabled faster, cheaper printing which makes manufacturing the product using 3D printers more viable. This can be used heavily in digital graphics to create physical 3D media instead of the regular 2D paper prints. Graphic designers will be able to design 3D models of their art and print it out in 3D.Graphics Tablet
iPhone
The iPhone has been revolutionary in graphic design mostly due to the apps that are available for it and its high quality front and back camera. Nowadays, graphic designers can easily use their iPhones to take high quality pictures of things when they do not have access to their professional photography software. They can also edit and publish the photos right from their iPhone using apps such as Photoshop, PhotoGene and Filterstorm. These apps have a lot of features to change simply things like colour and brightness. They can also do manual editing such as brush tools etc. They can then publish these photos directly from their phone using Twitter or Facebook.
MacBook Pro
The MacBook Pro is often used by modern graphic designers today because of its mobility and how user-friendly it is. They also have retina displays and large screens which is very useful for designers. Popular graphics apps such as Adobe Photoshop are made more the OSX operating system. The systems also have a GeForce GTX 650M as a graphics card which is great for graphics apps. These MacBook's are designed for mobility and battery life. Using these, designers are able to work when they aren't at home or at the office.
